- SPANISH BAROQUE MUSIC

In seventeenth century the Spanish baroque music reached a great level of quality.  Nevertheless it was ignored for a long time, though it has returned recently to be played in concerts and so discovered by the public thanks to orchestras such as Al Ayre Español and Los Músicos de su Alteza. Gathering an influence from the Italian baroque and from  a musical Spanish tradition with a popular touch, this instrumental, vocal and operatic music stands out for its  vivacity, far from the solemnity of other contemporary musical traditions. It is worth to spread it so that it can get the recognition it deserves.
